A unique school for children with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.
The Unicorn School is an outstanding (OFSTED 2012), well-established, unique co-educational day school for children from 6 – 13 years, based in Abingdon and serving Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties.
We believe that children who learn differently should be taught in a different way.
We have a ‘whole-school’ approach to dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties, e.g. dyspraxia, dyscalculia or speech and language disorders based on teaching in small classes and our daily one to one lessons for each child.
All our teachers are specialists in working with dyslexia, and our goal is to help our pupils raise their self esteem and learn the strategies they need to return to mainstream school successfully.
